IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
ZSL recruitment policy is designed to ensure compliance with UK employment law and encourages staff to report any concerns related to the activities of the organisation or its supply chain. Our internal recruitment team manage all recruitment activities and/ or only use reputable employment agencies and job boards to source labour: both ZSL and its agencies carry out appropriate background checks.
Under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, we are required to check that anyone taking up employment with us has the legal right to work in the UK. All shortlisted candidates will therefore be asked to provide documentary proof of this during the interview process and we will be required to take a copy of the successful candidates’ documents before the work commences.
Please note, If you do not have the relevant right to work documents to be able to work in the UK, we would only be able to apply for a Certificate of Sponsorship from the UK Border Agency if we can show we have met the Resident Labour Market Test and you are able to meet the required points needed under the new points-based system.

About ZSL
The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity founded in 1826, is a world-renowned centre of excellence for conservation science and applied conservation. ZSL’s purpose is to inspire, inform and empower people to stop wild animals from going extinct. This is realised by carrying out field conservation and research in over 50 countries across the globe and through education and awareness-raising at our two zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, inspiring people to take conservation action.
About the Programme
ZSL’s Sustainable Business & Finance Department works with commercial organisations, communities, NGOs and governments to address major global challenges to forest and biodiversity loss. We work with all actors in commodity supply chains - from producers to buyers and investors - to achieve supply chain transparency and sustainability, supporting practices which protect & enhance biodiversity. Sitting within the Sustainable Business & Finance Department, the Sustainable Finance Programme aims to close the $1 trillion financing gap for nature, through working both on the demand side with investors to increase the financing for nature, and on the supply side to develop investible, nature positive projects and enterprises.
We're ZSL - an international conservation charity driven by science, working to restore wildlife in the UK and around the world by protecting critical species, restoring ecosystems, helping people and wildlife live together and inspiring support for nature.
We run two conservation zoos – London and Whipsnade, we are doing conservation in over sixty countries, and we are at the leading edge of conservation biology through our Institute of Zoology.
The Visitor Operations Team at ZSL London Zoo are looking for patient & approachable people with a caring nature to join their close-knit & dedicated team on a part time, seasonal basis.
