Role Profile

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo are currently recruiting for event ambassadors to help support our key events over the Halloween and Christmas school holidays. We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and pro active individuals with great customer service to work various days over one or multiple events.

Halloween will run from 22nd - 30th October and our Christmas event from November through to the end of December with working hours between approximately 9am-4.30pm *Exact dates and times to be confirmed once interest has been shown. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setting up/packing down equipment at the start and end of the day and performing any necessary checks, reporting any damages or concerns to the event point of contact
  • Creating a memorable experience for our visitors. Engaging them whilst running interactive games and puzzles in a fun and exciting way
  • Queue management and entertainment
  • Recording visitor numbers
  • Assisting with set up and de rig of event

Person Specification

  • Demonstrate experience of working to a high standard within an Entertainments or Performance setting.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
  • Have a proactive approach - being able to 'think on your feet' and take ownership of issues that may rise.
  • Work confidently in a fast paced environment
  • Show a desire to create memorable experiences for our visitors
